Staying ahead of the energy ratings
Select products with confidence from our energy efficient door & window range
In a world with increased concern for the environment and mankind's effect on it, governments around the world are working towards a zero emissions ideal.
With residential energy use being one of the leading contributors to our carbon footprint, its important we work to arrest the situation. To do this many of today’s building products are designed to offer the best protection from the elements whilst reducing the energy consumption used to heat or cool the property.
This is where FSDC Global step up to the mark, through continual product research and development for our door and window designs, with two main factors being addressed ...
Frames
Timber frames for both doors and windows remain one of the most energy efficient and natural choices available, but not everybody wants to choose timber, and with other material options bringing more and more thermal benefits as technology develops, we can offer our customers a choice without compromise. Materials like PVCu, Aluminium and hybrid material combinations continue to evolve and offer increased thermal properties through improved thermal insulated breaks and material composition.
Glass
Despite the success of double paned glass units, the continuing push to save energy has led to even further improvements.
Special coatings on the glass are used to reflect heat either inward or outward, and filling the units with gases rather than air offers further improved thermal properties for the property.
