Overview
The AW73 system is our most popular hybrid bi-fold door to date with thousands of installations worldwide. By combing both our timber and aluminum systems together, we created the ‘AW73’ system.
It’s essentially an aluminum system which is clad internally with hardwood timber (European Oak), and so presents qualities of both materials; with the warmth and character of natural timber and the low maintenance, strong, durable properties of aluminum.
This combination proves extremely popular as it achieves a clean modern look to the outside of the building and a more traditional sympathetic appearance to the internal decoration of the property.
The AW73 is custom made to your exact requirements - meaning you get to specify; dimensions, product style, opening style, configuration, color, finish, hardware, thresholds, glass specification, glazing options, magnetic stops, ventilation and internal blinds, and is equally ideal for both residential and commercial use.
The thermally broken profile provides a product that is thermally efficient and will help ensure your home stays the right temperature throughout the year, keeping your heating and cooling bills low, saving you money.

Security
- Five point multi-locking to access door with ‘Secured by Design’ (SBD) security cylinders
- Three star diamond ABS TS007 euro cylinders (anti-snap, anti-pick, anti-bump, anti-drill)
- Encapsulated rollers/running gear within the track, preventing it from being attacked
- End panels and access doors are fitted with high security locking mechanisms
- Hardened steel hook locks and dead bolts
- Internally glazed/beaded (option to upgrade to laminated impact glass)
- Option of key locking shoot-bolts are available for added security and external access
- Passed tests equivalent to a twenty stone man trying to force entry
- Tongue and groove (interlocking) door panels to prevent lever opening
- Security hinges (non face fixed) to prevent the pins from being removed and the hinge being forced from the door

Threshold Options
We currently offer nine threshold options to satisfy all applications and current building regulations, with all options available as either inward or outward opening. But for the many, the most popular option is our flush threshold that blends the inside floor with the outside floor, especially those with children, elderly or wheel chair users.
Our flush track is ADA compliant, fully weather-rated and the profile itself is available in a choice of 2 colors / finishes; anodized silver (standard) and bronze.
