Overview
Florida Building Code approved bifold doors. As a result of their DP70 rating, the HD82 Non-Impact Rated system complies with the stringent Florida Building Code and for use in other wind-borne areas outside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone.
Tests to gain this accreditation included:
- Uniform Static Air Pressure Loading testing for Non-Impact and non Non-Impact resistant building envelope components
- Cyclic Wind Pressure Loading test procedures
- Water Infiltration and Resistance test procedures, dynamic and passive
- Forced entry test procedures
The HD82 non-impact bifold door is almost identical to our HD82 impact bifold door system, but without the addition of laminated glass. Its design is focused on energy efficiency, structural strength, versatility and value.
The HD82 system is suited for the most severe climates and weather conditions and offers modern aesthetics coupled with performance, durability and low maintenance.
For increased strength to enable this to meet Florida Building Code, the thermally broken aluminium door profiles are reinforced with steel running throughout the perimeter, and the interlocking tongue & groove feature is solid.
Exceptionally durable, versatile and strong, the HD82 can work within any living arrangement or commercial situation, providing the ultimate WOW factor, in terms of aesthetics and functionality in areas which require Florida Building Code products.
Thermally insulated profiles provide a product that is also highly thermally efficient, ensuring your property stays the right temperature throughout the year, keeping your heating and cooling bills low, saving you money!
The HD82 is bespoke made to your exacting requirements - meaning as a customer you get to specify; dimensions, product style, opening style, configuration, colour, finish, hardware, thresholds, glass specification, glazing options, magnetic stops, ventilation and internal blinds.
Our HD82 aluminium system can also be manufactured in as little as five days, when using our standard colours; Jet Black (RAL 9005 matt), Traffic White (RAL 9016 satin) and Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016 matt).
A matching range of windows and doors are available to complement the HD82 bifold door.

Security

Threshold Options
We currently offer nine threshold options to satisfy all applications and current building regulations, with all options available as either inward or outward opening. But for the many, the most popular option is our flush threshold that blends the inside floor with the outside floor, especially those with children, elderly or wheel chair users.
Our flush track also certifies as Part M disabled access compliant, is fully weather-rated and the profile itself is available in a choice of 2 colours / finishes; anodised silver (standard) and bronze.
